If you've planned a wedding, did it ever start feeling to you like you were planning one long photoshoot? Did you miss out on time with your guests because you had too many photos to capture? Valerie and Nick opted to be more present on their wedding day and cut some of the bride and groom photos short. To make up for the lack of bride/groom portraits on the day itself, they scheduled a photo session with me a couple months later. They put back on their wedding clothes and brought their pup along for some beautiful, relaxed photos in the Garden of the Gods. There was some snow on the ground, but it was reasonably warm for a December day in Colorado Springs. When we made it to the overlook, the wind picked up so we snapped just a few more photos before heading for shelter. I am a big fan of this idea-- a post-wedding bride and groom portrait shoot. Worth considering if you are planning a wedding of your own!
