TheaMarie and Manuel reached out to me after I photographed their friend Catherine's January wedding in Indiana. They said they loved the photos I took of her wedding and they were also impressed by the way I handled the posed photos after the ceremony. When they heard I lived in Colorado Springs where they were planning to get married, it was clearly meant to be! They had a late morning wedding mass at St Gabriel's Catholic Church surrounded by 40 family members and friends. The sacredness of the bond of marriage and their joy was so evident.
Immediately after the mass, they had their reception at the Colorado Springs Marriott in a tent outdoors. It was a warm October afternoon and Manuel's family from Peru came ready to party! The dance party was hopping. And I highly recommend having your photographer snap a photo of you and all your guests on the dancefloor (see below). The bride and groom got some beautiful portraits on the hill behind the reception-- simple and perfect! Everything wrapped up by 5:00 pm. Have you thought about doing an early afternoon reception? I highly recommend it, especially if you're not a night owl.
