This is Alyssa. I had the honor of taking her senior portraits this year. The coolest thing about being able to take someone's photos is that you are able to get to know them as you take the photos. It isn't just an awkward atmosphere during the shoot, you get to talk about random things and actually get to know the person in front of the camera. I love what I do because it allows me to meet new people and also reconnect with old friends as well. Thank you Alyssa for being such a wonderful model!
This is Eisley. This was my first newborn shoot ever and I was so nervous! She was around a week old when I took these photos. It was a wonderful experience. As I was taking these photos I was in awe of the love that was surrounded by this tinny baby. As I photographed her mom and dad holding her in her arms you could see that life is so precious and fragile. Life is a wonderful and beautiful thing and to capture a brand new life was an honor.
This is Kate. What a gal, she is one of the funniest and talented people I know. I had the privilege of taking her senior portraits and head shots. Though I've only known her for a year she has been such a great friend and confidant. She is a natural beauty inside and put and shes gonna take over the world! Kate I can't wait to see what your future holds and I know you are going to be great in whatever you do! Reach for the stars!
This is Julia. She is one of the most beautiful people I know! She is so wise and strong. She gets things done and does everything with humility, kindness, and strength. She has inspired me so much and encourages me constantly. I felt so lucky to take her senior portraits! She is a literal dream!
Photo tip: when you aren't shooting during golden hour and the lighting is super harsh, get creative! I have realized this year that I am afraid of lighting that isn't golden hour lighting. I have accustomed to taking photos at a certain time that when then it happens to be afternoon/ early evening I feel lost! I am working on breaking this habit but when in doubt try new things! Take photos in random neighborhoods, by cool walls, random streets! I have seen that my favorite shots from this shoot were from doing those random new things!
This is Evelyn! She is hilarious, sassy but also loving. Getting to know her this year was wonderful. During the photo shoot itself we talked about life, the future, and experiences. I treasure these moments the most. She is a beam of light and I can't wait to see what the futurre holds for her next!
This is Amber! I have had the pleasure of knowing her for two years now and is a huge inspiration of mine. She is so creative and is very talented. Her love for Jesus inspires me daily. She is a true vision and a natural!
This is Lisa! When asked to take her senior portraits I was so honored and surprised. She has been big encouragement and supporting this past semester in not just my photography but work as well. She is a stunning human being with a one of a kind smile! She has a huge heart and is on of the sweetest people I know!
This is Jen! I have had the honor to take photographs of her family twice. Beach sessions can be tricky even when you get there for golden hour. This is my first maternity shoot and used the light to my advantage even when it was sometimes hard to capture it evenly. Some of my photos came out too dark or too light but I loved them either way. It'll always be about trial and error. I love these photos and loved spending time with them and capturing their growing family.
Kayla and T.K. What a couple! These two love the Lord so much and it shines right through them. They are so kind, humble, and hilarious and to know them is an honor. I can't wait for what the future has for them and can't wait for them to be married!
Meet the Warners! What a wonderful family! When taking their photographs, needless to say I was a bit anxious to capture a family of eight perfectly, As the shoot went on I realized that it was not about trying to capture this family "perfectly" but to capture them naturally in their truest state. I had the children choose where they wanted their individual photos and allowed them to decide how they wanted to pose. I was able to capture them in their most natural state and give them the freedom to be who they are. I believe these photos represent that. I am thankful for Tara giving me the opportunity to capture her and her beautful family!
This is a collection of portraits I have taken of my fun friends throughout this year. As long as good times exist, this collection will always be growing!
